So I was watching clips of the broadway version of the little mermaid and I loved it... sorta got the inspiriation to do this... I spent so much time on the background that it looks better than the character eh... maybe I will go back touch it up a bit...
I finally learned how to do the lineart on photoshop... and the coloring got a bit sloppy towards the end.
EDIT: So I went back and made the hair more wavy, it was too straight for it to be underwater. Plus I gave it a shiny more glossier look... I actually did it with the rest of my work as well
Oooh this looks really good. I especially like the texture on the tail. The background looks great. It's a nice use of the grass brush and the water reflection at the top looks really nice too. ^^

Thank you senpai! ^_^ it's been a few months since I drew... i'm kinda rusty... I tried not to abuse the grass brush. Half of that is splattered color and random brushes i scribbled on there lol

The best way to use the grass brush is to abuse it without making it look like you've abused it. Changing the size and the setting on it is a good way to do that. You did a good job of overlapping it and adding to it with other brushes. You're getting very good. I'm proud. ^^
